C-stopnja litij-ionske baterije določa, kako hitro se lahko baterija popolnoma napolni ali kako hitro se lahko popolnoma izprazni. S poznavanjem stopnje C, ljudje lahko ugotovijo, da je hitrost polnjenja ali praznjenja baterije hitra ali počasna.
